Michael Jordan, Bugs Bunny

Everybody get up: It's time to slam again.

Seriously, it is. With the 20th anniversary of Space Jam falling on Nov. 15, Fathom Events and Warner Bros. are bringing the film back to 450 U.S. movie theaters for three showings: Nov. 13 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. (all local times).

We're still three years away from what should be a wild 23rd anniversary, but this will more than suffice for the two-decade mark.

Of course, this Space Jam revival can also serve as an appetizer to a sequel that is in the works. Space Jam 2 will have Justin Lin as director and LeBron James as the star. But Michael Jordan would have made a different casting choice.

The defending champion Cavaliers open the NBA season on Oct. 25 when they raise the franchise's first title banner to the Quicken Loans Arena rafters in front of the visiting Knicks.
