Who would've figured that Fashion Week in New York would be such an attraction for star guards of the NBA?

Well, Rajon Rondo of the Celtics and Dwyane Wade of the Heat are getting in on the action.

GQ just issued a press release and posted a story to its website to announce that Rondo is joining the magazine as an intern.

"I love the set-up so far and I'm having fun," Rondo said in the release. "I'm still a rookie at this. I'm humble. Anything GQ needs me to do -- getting coffee -- I'll do. In my position, I haven't done things like this in my entire life. It’s fun doing what I do, but it’s nice getting the flipside of that 9 to 5."

Wade is promoting his memoir "A Father First: How My Life Became Bigger Than Basketball" and said that his book tour being in New York at the same time as Fashion Week is strictly a coincidence.

Not that he minds.

"It just worked out that way," Wade told Esquire. "But this is kinda the perfect time for me. To get out here. To launch my book, and then, to get a little fashion in."

Wade has been recognized in various "Best Dressed" features from GQ, Esquire and Sports Illustrated, and last year he did a memorable photo shoot for VMAN magazine.
