Historically, Dustin Johnson is not your average-looking world No. 1 golfer. He's tall, long and muscular. He looks more like Kobe Bryant or Alex Rodriguez than Jack Nicklaus or Arnold Palmer.

But Johnson's success is indicative of his era. Golf has become a sport for the physically gifted, not just hand-eye-coordination but also in strength.

"We can thank Tiger for that because I think he made golf become cool," Johnson says. "For me, I grew up playing. I played other sports too growing up, but I've always just loved playing golf and now you see it, even with all these young guys. Golfers are athletes. All these guys coming out, they're taller and stronger. Everybody's going to the gym."

Johnson says he is in the gym six days a week to "stay feeling young" while also keeping up with the young guns on tour. And he gets his swings in with Woods. Johnson, Woods and Brad Faxon were all seen playing golf with President Donald Trump just last week at Trump National Golf Club - Jupiter. This week, Johnson is playing in the Hero World Challenge, an unofficial PGA Tour event at Albany, Bahamas, that benefits the Tiger Woods Foundation.

Johnson spoke to ThePostGame last month while promoting Adidas Golf's new adicross line. The gear is designed to fit a golfer on and off the course, and Johnson is one of the faces of the launch.
