Robert Horry was born August 25, 1970.
A first-round pick by Houston in 1992, Horry played 16 NBA seasons and had a career scoring average of 7.0. But his knack for making big shots in clutch moments is one reason why he was part of seven NBA championship teams.
He helped the Rockets win titles in 1994 and 1995.
Trades then sent him to the Suns and Lakers. Horry was in Los Angeles for the Kobe-Shaq era that featured a three-peat (2000, 2001, 2002).
Horry signed with the Spurs as a free agent in 2003. The Spurs won it all in 2005 and 2007.
In Game 5 of the 2005 NBA Finals against Detroit, Horry scored 18 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter and overtime, and hit the winning three-pointer in the Spurs' 96-95 win. The Spurs took a 3-2 series lead and won in seven games.
