Paul Henry Konerko was born on March 5, 1968.

Konerko just finished up his 18-year career, mostly with the Chicago White Sox. He hit 439 home runs, 425 of which he hit with the White Sox.

He went four straight years from 2004-2007, hitting at least 30 home runs and driving in at least 90 runs. He led the White Sox to the 2005 World Series, the team's first title since 1917.

Konerko announced that 2014 would be his last season and he went out with a salute to the fans.
