Jim Rome's appearance in Space Jam lasted less than a minute, but 18 years after the movie debuted, the popular sportscaster is still cashing in from his cameo in the classic movie.

Rome, host of The Jim Rome Show on CBS Sports Radio, sent out a tweet this week implying that he had gotten a residual check.


For those who don't listen to the show, Van Smack is one of Rome's nicknames.

Perhaps because people didn't believe Rome at first, he later tweeted a photo of his check.


It's not much, especially compared with the estimated $30 million yearly that Rome gets from his radio show, but it's pretty neat to see that he's still getting something all these years later for such a small part.
