He's a four-time NBA MVP, the most popular player in the league and one of the most recognizable athletes in the world.
But that didn't stop LeBron James from getting carded recently at a hotel bar.
The Miami Heat superstar, a huge Ohio State fan, went down to the bar at the team's hotel in Orlando to watch his Buckeyes play Clemson in the Orange Bowl. Upon ordering a drink, James was carded by the bartender.
Now that he talked about it, I'll tweet it: strangest thing I've seen was LeBron getting carded at hotel bar last nt. Bartender was serious.

James, you'll remember, is 29 years old and has a receding hairline. Plus he's LeBron James.
In the bartender's defense, maybe the establishment has a policy of carding everyone regardless of whether he or she is an NBA champion, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and a cultural icon.
James, for his part, laughed off the incident.
"Look at my beard!" James reportedly said.
