We've seen people catch baseballs in bizarre ways this season, but it's going to be hard to top this Cubs fan's spectacular snare.

Marlins slugger Hanley Ramirez came up to bat in the bottom of the second inning and fouled the third pitch he saw from Cubs pitcher Paul Maholm. The ball bounced down the third base line and about 15 rows into the stands. One fan went for the grab, bobbled it off his female friend's face and into her cup of beer.

You couldn't have scripted this any better:

Never mind that that woman will have to clean her shirt and buy a new beer. That's a play for the ages.
