Hoping to create buzz around the Miami Dolphins franchise, owner Stephen Ross figured drafting a quarterback in the first round would do the trick.

But it turns out the wife of the No. 8 overall pick stole the show.

Whether Ryan Tannehill finally becomes the quarterback to replace Dan Marino, Lauren, his wife, made a lot of lonely sports fans run to social media.

All over Twitter and Facebook, people were scrambling to find out more about Lauren Tannehill after ESPN flashed her beautiful smile, moments after her husband had been selected by the Phins.

This isn't the first time such a scenario has taken place, a similar frenzy took place on Thanksgiving. As her then-future husband was playing for Texas A&M, ESPN showed Lauren sitting in the crowd while the Aggies lost to Texas. The Internet exploded as fans scrambled to find out more about her.

It turns out Ryan and the former Lauren Ufer met while attending Texas A&M in 2009. They became engaged in May of 2011 and were married in January. The couple had a destination wedding in Mexico, according to PlayerWives.com

Lauren majored in communication and minored in psychology at A&M, and she reportedly works as a cardiology assistant at a local cardiovascular clinic.

However, now that her husband will be living in South Florida, it's unknown if she'll continue working 9-5.

In addition to her regular job, Lauren, not surprisingly has dabbled in modeling. She has a page on the Page 713 - Model & Talent Agency in Houston.

Ryan had plans to attend medical school, and before being picked by the Dolphins, he hoped to become an orthopedic surgeon.
