File this one as one of the best plays of the year, in any sport. Athan Iannucci comes flying across the field after receiving a pass for his Langley Thunder against the Nainamo Timbermen in Western Lacross Association action, and then spectacularly dives and fires.

The play happened Wednesday night in a 14-10 Langley win. It's the sort of play that makes it no surprise that a sport like lacrosse has become one of the fastest growing in the nation.

We can only tip our hat to Mr. Iannucci and his impressive skill set. Maybe it's not on the same level as Bobby Orr's diving goal for the Bruins in the 1970 Stanley Cup Finals, but it was at least reminiscent. And that's a great moment to emulate.
