On Nov. 23, 1984, Doug Flutie threw a 63-yard touchdown pass to Gerald Phelan on the last play of the game, a 47-45 win for Boston College over Miami at the Orange Bowl. Flutie finished with 472 passing, three touchdowns passes and a 9-yard touchdown run.
