As evidenced by his hair and his high-end T-shirt line, Kyle Beckerman is one of the more eccentric players on the United States' World Cup roster.
And in case anyone needed more convincing of Beckerman's quirkiness, let us present his engagement photos.
Beckerman, the 32-year-old Real Salt Lake midfielder, married Kate Pappas earlier this year. They took their engagement photos last fall, and they are wonderful.
The first batch are from Real Salt Lake's Rio Tinto Stadium, with Beckerman in a soccer uniform. This isn't uncommon for pro athletes, but Beckerman's photos are especially adorable. All of these images are from SaltLakeBrideandGroom.com:
Afterwards, Beckerman and Pappas headed for the woods, where they went with a more rustic look. Beckerman's outfit included a fishing vest and some sort of outdoorsman hat.
The canoe is a nice touch here.
In case you were wondering, Beckerman met Pappas, an account supervisor at a communicators firm, in 2009 during a video shoot for the United Way of Salt Lake. She was holding his cue cards, and after the filming he asked for her number.
We haven't seen any of their wedding photos, but we're willing to bet that Joe Flacco's nuptial pictures are still tops by any pro athlete.
