The big Monday night matchup between the Washington Redskins and the New York Giants just got a little more interesting.

If the Redskins shut out the Giants, Lindsay Cars in Washington D.C. is offering a full refund to eight people who purchased a car between Nov. 27 and Dec. 3. That's right, if Washington shuts out New York, this dealership is giving away eight free cars.

"Realistically, we don’t think that anyone will make a new vehicle purchase based only on the fact that they could win," Paul Smyth, the dealership’s general manager, said in a post on the dealership's website. “But for shoppers ready to make a new car purchase, the chance to get that new vehicle for free could be a huge incentive to visit our store. Everyone who makes a new vehicle purchase at the dealership will automatically be entered in the drawing starting next Monday and ending the day of the game. We’re also offering this promotion to express our love of the Redskins. They’re our home team and we believe in them.”

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the odds are stacked against the Redskins. Washington has the second-worst scoring defense in the NFL, as the Redskins have given up an average of 26 points-per-game. Meanwhile, the Giants come into town averaging nearly 28 points-per-game, the conference's fourth best figure.

But for everyone searching for a reason to be optimistic, you need not look too far. Last week a jeweler made the same deal on the Alabama-Auburn game, and now he owes patrons "tens of thousands" of dollars.

If only there wasn't a world of difference between Auburn's offense and the Giants's offense, and if Nick Saban was coaching the Redskins, than this might not seem as crazy.

Did we mention that the Redskins haven't shut out an opposing team in more than 20 years?
