Broncos fans can hurry up and wait to buy new Peyton Manning gear.

Despite holding up a No. 18 Broncos jersey at his newsconference on Tuesday, fans in Denver looking to buy an authentic Manning jersey in blue and orange are out of luck.

Nope, they haven't sold out.

Nike takes ownership of the NFL's merchandising contract on April Fools' Day, however they won't be unveiling the new Broncos jersey until late April. KUSA-TV reports fans in Colorado and all over the country will have to wait until at least early May to score the same Broncos jersey that Manning will wear in 2012.

Reebok, which lost the merchandise contract, will be releasing T-shirts with Manning's name and number in a few days, but that is likely all of the new Peyton merchandise you'll be able to scoop up in the near future.

Not only are Broncos fans forced to play the waiting game, like gas, NFL merchandise prices are going up.

KUSA-TV reports that jerseys that cost NFL fans $80 last year will go for $100, and the $120 version will retail for $140.

"The prices of a lot of NFL branded merchandise will be going up just because of what they had to pay the NFL and the players association for licensing fees. The NFL is doing well in this economy still," Bill Vizas owner of a sports collectibles store in Denver told the TV station.
