Boston Red Sox fans will be glad to know that manager Bobby Valentine is not, in fact, trying to get fired.

After Boston Globe columnist Dan Shaughnessy wrote a column this weekend in which the first line read, "Bobby Valentine sounds like a manager who doesn’t care if he gets fired," Bobby V had to get his side of the story out.

So as Shaughnessy was preparing to go on camera before Tuesday's Red Sox game, Valentine popped into the frame, waved his arms and yelled, "It's not true! I'm not trying to get fired, folks!"

If Valentine does end up getting fired, however, it doesn't seem like it'll take him long to get used to being on camera again. The guy is a natural.
