Tiger Woods is trying his best to make a comeback. After missing most of 2015 and 2016, Woods appears to be healthy and ready to relevant again on the PGA Tour. He will get his first opportunity to show that progress at a major when he tees off at The Masters this week. Woods, 42, has not won a major since the 2008 U.S. Open.

But there was a time -- a long time -- when Woods was at the top of the golf world. At his peak, many competitors tried to topple him, but until injuries and personal issues took a toll on Woods, basically all were denied. These are Woods' greatest rivals.

Spoiler: Chris DiMarco, David Duval, Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia and Vijay Singh.
