Warren Sapp went up against many tough opponents in his Hall of Fame career, but no player took as much out of Sapp as a shark did off the Florida Keys Wednesday.
Things got heated as Sapp and the shark compete for the same lobster. The shark takes a bite into Sapp, leaving a massive gash on Sapp’s arm. The charter Sapp was on, Two Conchs posted a picture of the injury to Instagram, using the hashtag #EpicBattle to describe the incident (warning: graphic content).
"It's simple," Two Conchs captain Jack Carlson said in a text to Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times. "He was lobstering with me and a shark bit Sapp while he was grabbing the lobster. He's OK.”
In a Tweet, Sapp conceded that the shark won the battle.

While he had to fight a shark and lose some blood to do so, Sapp still managed to bring home dinner.

Sapp retired in 2008, ending an outstanding career in which he played for both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders.
