At least in this case, man's best friend can connect quite nicely with a polar bear.
Check out this sled dog who accepts the adorable gestures from a polar bear in northern Manitoba, as captured on video by David De Meulles.
"I had no idea what was going to happen, and then sure enough he started petting that dog, acted like he was a friend," De Meulles told the CBC. "I just so happen to catch a video of a lifetime."
The interaction occurred on the property of Brian Ladoon, who, according to the CBC, "has been raising a rare breed of Canadian sled dog for more than 40 years."
"These are like lions, these dogs," Ladoon told the CBC. "They're primitive and fearless."
But apparently they can be friendly too.
