Michael and Boomer Phelps

Four days removed from his 28th Olympic medal, Michael Phelps is back in the pool.

No, it's not a ridiculously early head start in preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Games. Phelps remains insistent that he won't be back in four years. Instead, Phelps is enjoying his retirement by spending quality time with his family and slowing things down – if he knows how to do such a thing.

Here's a look via Instagram of Phelps relaxing with newborn son Boomer and fiancee Nicole Johnson:

There's nothing like being back home!! Great way to spend my first day in retirement!! @boomerrphelps @nicole.m.johnson
