NFL Jerseys

On-field performance does not always correlate with jersey sales. Yes, Tom Brady's jersey is the top-seller in Massachusetts, Odell Beckham's jersey in New York and Aaron Rodgers' jersey in Wisconsin, but other states make surprising choices.

On Friday, ESPN's Darren Rovell tweeted an image via Dick's Sporting Goods, displaying the top-selling jersey by state for the last six months.

There are some key takeaways here:

-- Julio Jones is the star of Alaska.
-- Reigning MVP Cam Newton falls to Luke Kuechly in the Carolinas, but he did claim Utah.
-- Von Miller is the choice of the Rocky Mountains.
-- Ben Roethlisberger is a legend in Arkansas.
-- Odell Beckham Jr. owns the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, but fellow receiver Victor Cruz has a stronghold in Vermont.
-- Ryan Kerrigan is a multi-state leader (Virginia, Idaho).
-- Hawaii prefers Seahawks fans over NFL players.
-- Colin Kaepernick, the opening week leader in jersey sales, does not lead a state.
-- Todd Gurley, part of the recently-moved L.A. Rams, leads California, ahead of all 49ers, Raiders and Chargers.
-- Tom Brady has Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island, but Rob Gronkowski won over Maine.
