Klay Thompson, Mychal Thompson

Draymond Green was trying to be humble. After the Warriors embarrassed the Cavaliers, 110-77, in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, the All-Star was asked if his team's performance put them in the conversation of one of the best teams of all-time.

"No, I don't really look at the argument 'are we the best team of all-time' because I think it's all subjective," Green said. "To say we're better than the Showtime Lakers, how can you say that? We can never play them."

Klay Thompson has a different take. "We were better than the Showtime Lakers," he said about their performance that night.

Thompson has a connection to that team: His father, Mychal, was part of the Showtime Lakers. Mychal played in Los Angeles from 1987-1991, winning titles in 1987 and 1988. Klay was born in February 1990 in LA.

Klay's father may have something to say about that!

And here's the crew when Klay was a Lakers fan.

The Lakers won five titles and made nine NBA Finals from 1980-1991, so the Warriors still have a long way to go on that end. But this year's team did set the record for wins in a season, and it is embarrassing LeBron James' Cavaliers in the Finals.
