Kevin Garnett

Kevin Garnett's new job at Inside the NBA is pretty similar to the post he held with the Nets and Timberwolves at the end of his basketball career: play hard for limited minutes, express emotion and show veteran leadership.

Garnett reports from "Area 21," a secret studio lined with memorabilia from Garnett and other NBA stars. He has a chill setup to watch the game, a mannequin and a hoop for active demonstrations and a rotation of guests to help analyze basketball.

But the crown jewel of Area 21 is the "Cuss Button." Garnett's passion sometimes brings out colorful language suited for the heat of competition, but not for cable TV. When Garnett senses vulgar on the way, he just taps the button and sounds off in silence.

On Thursday, KG slipped. Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith started razzing Garnett for his tight camouflage jeans. The crew then pulled up a tweet from user @Maclovin313, saying, "You too old for the skinny jeans big ticket."

Garnett went full 2003-04 MVP and said, "I ain't too old to do s***, homie."

The crew back in Atlanta broke down in laughter. "I messed up. So what?" Garnett says. He then hits the Cuss Button and keeps cursing, triggering more laughter from two-time WNBA MVP Candace Parker, KG's guest for the night.

"We gotta fix that thing," Johnson giggles.

Or not.
