Jameis Winston

For Jameis Winston, less is more.

ESPN reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' quarterback lost about 20 pounds this offseason.

Winston has been working with Tim Grover, a famed trainer who has worked with athletes such as Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, to slim down his physique.

He has also made changes to his diet. According to his father, Antonor, who reports the 20-pound loss, Winston cut out potato chips and does not eat after 7 p.m.

The 2015 No. 1 draft pick had an excellent rookie season, throwing for more than 4,042 yards and scoring 28 total touchdowns (22 passing, six rushing) en route to a Pro Bowl selection. Winston, along with Buccaneers fans, are hoping the intense offseason plan keeps him from hitting a sophomore slump.

Tampa Bay reports to training camp on July 27.
