James Worthy

The Lakers-Celtics rivalry has seen better days. The Lakers entered Wednesday's game in Boston a lowly 5-27. The upstart Celtics were a respectable 18-13, but still a long way from title contention.

Nonetheless, there is no love lost between the two teams. In Kobe Bryant's final trip to TD Garden, the Lakers pulled out a stunning 112-104 win. A guy named Isaiah Thomas was the Celtics' leading scorer. Bryant tied as the Lakers' fourth-highest scorer of the game, while taking the most shots.

The rivalry has fallen far from its pinnacle. Don't tell that to James Worthy. He was stoked to see his Lakers nab a win in Boston.

Yes, that's James Worthy yelling, "Get that Celtic ass!"

After 12 years with the Lakers, during which L.A. beat Boston twice from the NBA championship, Worthy now pulls double duty with the franchise. He's an assistant coach for the Lakers in player development, and serves as a TV studio analyst for Time Warner Cable Sportsnet in Los Angeles.

Worthy took the Lakers' sixth win as a chance to take a shot at Larry Bird.

In a season like this, you've got to celebrate when you can.
