Gronk Discusses Wrestling Potential

Football has been a pretty solid career choice for Rob Gronkowski, what with four Pro Bowl appearances in the past five years and being in third place on the all-time tight end touchdown receptions list at age 27.

But even for someone as accomplished as Gronk, thinking about what's next is only natural, and the superstar gave the nation a potential sneak peek Tuesday morning on Access Hollywood.

Hosts Kit Hoover and Arsenio Hall brought up the topic of a potential wrestling career, and while Gronkowski didn't necessarily confirm any serious wishes to pursue that, he didn't exactly rule it out either. This brief YouTube clip posted by Access Hollywood's account gives the full scoop:

"I feel like it would be perfect; my body already takes a beating and I know those guys take a beating, so I might want to take off for my body for a little bit," he said. "But if they ever want to do a cameo with me and [an anonymous friend currently involved in professional wrestling] where I get to body slam him into the ground, I got no problem doing that."

Obviously, Gronk's place on the gridiron is set for the near future, as he'll continue his astonishing career and work to catch legends Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates in the record books.

But, just maybe, "The Gronkinator" could become a reality at some point further down the road. And if that does happen, fans everywhere would have to rejoice and anticipate whatever antics might await us.
