Friday and Saturday were two stunning days of college football. No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 Miami lost, as most of the playoff and bowl picture began to take shape. But even that could not prepare fans for Sunday.

Tennessee appeared ready to hire Ohio State defensive coordinator Greg Schiano until an uproar on social media derailed those plans. Students in Knoxville rallied to stage a protest on campus. The reason: Schiano, the former Rutgers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach, had been accused by Mike McQueary in 2015 of withholding damaging information about Jerry Sandusky. Schiano had been a Penn State assistant from 1990-1995. This unproven accusation kept Schiano from getting the job with the Volunteers and is not going away any time soon.

This is perhaps the craziest ending we've ever had to the final regular-season week.
