Dallas PD, Dallas Mavericks

In Dallas Wednesday night, the police kept law and order, and then some.

At halftime of the Rockets-Mavericks preseason game, the Mavs Dancers and Mavs ManiAACs (Mavericks' big man dance troupe) took the floor for what appeared to be a dance battle. But when things got feisty, the Dallas Police Department showed up.

Then it was time for the officers to bust a move.

Just a clip from our amazing halftime show with the Dallas Police Department!!!

Yes, that's KRS-One's "Sound of da Police." And the police are actually really good dancers.

Here's the full video with the Mavs Dancers and Mavs ManiAACs' performances:

It has been an emotional year for the Dallas PD, which lost five lives on July 7, when Micah Xavier Johnson opened fire on police in Downtown Dallas. Four months later, watching officers dance with new friends at a major sporting event in front of thousands of people is a spectacular sight.

Could the NBA's first police dance team be in the making?
