Colin Kaepernick, Muhammad Ali

Colin Kaepernick finally got a start Sunday. But before he took the field in Buffalo, Kaepernick made one more statement.

The quarterback, who has been sitting or kneeling during the national anthem since the preseason, arrived at New Era Stadium in a Muhammad Ali T-shirt.

In his 49ers jersey before the game, Kaepernick again kneeled during the national anthem. At halftime, Kaepernick, who quarterbacked the 49ers to a Super Bowl XLVII appearance, was 8-11 with 135 passing yards, one passing touchdown and 19 rushing yards.

Kaepernick made his first start since Nov. 1, 2015.
