Wade Anthony Boggs was born June 15, 1958.

Boggs finished his 18-year career with 3,010 hits and 1,014 RBIs. He sits 33rd all time in career batting average with a .328 mark.

He was part of the 1996 New York Yankees team, which won the World Series title. It was his only championship.

Boggs did, however, make 12 consecutive All-Star Games from 1985 to 1996, putting him third in consecutive All-Star Games for a third baseman. He reached 3,000 hits with the Tampa Devil Rays in 1999.
