Usually crop circles are eerie, unexplained, or even terrifying. But earlier this week, while flying through the French countryside, the Tour de France peloton came across a pair of crop circles that can only be described as fantastique.

This kind of coordination would make any college football marching band proud. (And a bit jealous, as hay bales are rarely if ever used at halftime.) Check out how the dozen tractors used in each rotating bike tire move at the perfect speed. And note the detail -- even the water bottle is represented.

For those who don't know French (and those who hit mute), the message beneath the giant bike says the local farmers are proud to feed the cyclists. No doubt the riders, although they surely missed the breathtaking view, are more than proud to be fed the finest French food.
