The man formerly known as Bruce Jenner introduced herself as Caitlyn Jenner on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine. In a 22-page cover story, written by Pulitzer Prize winner Buzz Bissinger and photographed by Annie Leibovitz, Jenner discusses the completion of her gender transition.
In a preview of the story posted on VanityFair.com, Jenner says, "If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life. You never dealt with yourself,’ and I don’t want that to happen.”
