Halloween is a premiere event for athletes. Maybe it is their fit bodies or deep wallets or social media research, but for whatever reason, athletes' costumes have a little extra pop to them.

The best costumes of 2016 feature some regulars -- Hunter Pence and LeBron James always crush the costume game -- and some surprises -- who knew Ryan Lochte would dress like a character from Alice in Wonderland? The long Halloween weekend gave everyone more than enough time to put their best foot forward.
