Rookie Treatment: Treadwell Gets Pranked

Fresh off setting an Ole Miss all-time record with 202 receptions in three seasons, Vikings wide receiver Laquon Treadwell is expected to do some big things in his first season after being drafted 23rd overall – but even he isn't exempt from some old-fashioned rookie treatment.

Treadwell – the second-youngest player to be drafted in the first round this year, behind Packers defensive tackle Kenny Clark – turned 21 on Wednesday. And as he wrote in his Instagram account, "This what happens when your rookie and your birthday is during Minicamp."

"That's the rookie treatment," an equally irritated and impressed Treadwell says in the video. "That's how they do you."

For those counting, that's a staggering 60,000 packs of fruit snacks, or enough to last him more than 54 years if he were to consume three packs per day.

But Treadwell was a good sport about the situation, showing his sense of humor by "thanking" perpetrators Teddy Bridgewater and Kyle Rudolph in a later Instagram post:

Thank you @teddyb_h2o and @kylerudolph82 @welchsfruitsnck for your generous donations.. 60,000 bags of fruit snacks..

Overall, Treadwell had to simply tip his cap to the execution; after all, initiation can be a lot worse.
