Ben Simmons went one and done one more time. He traveled to Philadelphia on Tuesday for his first workout with any team during the pre-draft process. Shortly after, news spread that the former LSU freshman is a 76er, at least verbally.
The news was first reported by Cleveland.com's Chris Haynes. Simmons had been working out in Cleveland and met with the 76ers there last week.

Simmons subsequently posted a series of Instagram photos, unofficially verifying the report:
The pictures were also posted on the 76ers' Instagram page, along with this photo of Simmons and Philadelphia coach Brett Brown.
Joel Embiid, the Sixers center in Simmons' second photo, and a social media czar, posted this tweet:

According to the Sixers' website, President of Basketball Operations Bryan Colangelo told reporters:
"Looks like we're pretty close to the finish line with respect to our preparations for the draft. This morning, we did have an opportunity very early to have Ben Simmons come in, and work out in front of our coaches, and have a chance to also be here in front of Josh Harris and David Blitzer of ownership. It was a chance to kind of put a platform out there for anyone that we might be considering at number one to have a final opportunity to see."
The NBA Draft is Thursday night in Brooklyn. Assuming the Sixers do not have a chance of heart, Ben Simmons, who also unveiled a Foot Locker commercial with Karl-Anthony Towns, Devin Booker and D'Angelo Russell on Tuesday, will be on his way to the City of Brotherly Love.
