'The Rock' Shows Off Shoes

The nation's favorite Baller just got some new kicks to play in.

While Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson's role as an NFL financial advisor in the HBO hit series Ballers is fictional, the former Miami Hurricanes football star's connections in the sports world are very real. This includes Johnson's endorsement deal with Under Armour, signed earlier in 2016.

The Rock took to Instagram to show off one of his high-profile friendships, revealing that fellow UA endorser Stephen Curry granted him a special sneak peek at the new Curry Lux sneakers before dropping details of his own upcoming shoe release in 2017. The whole video, including a look at both models, can be seen here:

EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEAK: It's a good day in footwear. Big s/o to my boy @stephencurry30 for sending me pairs of the new #CurryLux's. Dope color ways in suede and leather. Droppin' Aug 13th! Aaaaand FINALLY.. what the world has been waiting for.. a lil' shoe we'll call #RocksFIYA for now, 'cause you'll chase your greatness in them by the only way we know how.. EARNING IT. Been training in these beasts for a year now so by the time they drop to you at the top of 2017 - you'll know I've given my blood and sweat in them and kept it . And one more thing.. they're slightly aggressive. As alphas are. Blood, sweat and respect. First two we give, last one we earn. #CurryLux #RocksFIYA #GoodDayInFootwear #UnderArmour #BloodSweatAndRespect

If The Rock was willing to take a small break from his rigorous training sessions to tell the world about these, then you know the demand for them figures to be pretty high.

But as the WWE star emphatically states in the video, "It doesn't matter how you look, you gotta earn it."
