Every year, NFL players have their seasons cut short before they even start. With every team playing four preseason games, injuries are no stranger to any NFL franchise.

But after losing a key player to an Achilles tear in a meaningless game, Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh used his postgame pulpit to call for change. And while the obvious attention was on the players he'd lost earlier that day, Harbaugh insisted that the need to get rid of preseason football goes beyond any one player, and instead concerns every player and every team.
