Next time we see Rougned Odor, he will likely have the scent of smoked sausages and baby back ribs.
According to The Dallas Morning News, Heim Barbecue in Fort Worth is rewarding the Rangers' second baseman for his punch of Jose Bautista with free barbecue for life. Odor is currently suspended eight games for the punch, so he has some time to try the meat.
"We just thought it would be a funny thing if we offered Rougie free food because he wasn't the only one who wanted to punch Bautista after last year, so you know, it's kind of a justice, a little bit," owner Travis Heim told NBC 5 in Dallas.
The restaurant also started selling its own branded shirts with the phrase, "Rougned Eats Free." Heim says they printed 40 shirts, but 200 have already been purchased online.
"He's an a******, but he's our a******," Heim writes on the shirt's tilt page.
