Nick Cannon was born (and mostly raised) in San Diego. For the first 36 years of his life, the Chargers called his city home. On Jan. 12, the team announced a relocation from San Diego to Los Angeles, the Chargers' birth city, where they played only their inaugural season in 1960.

Cannon's career as a rapper, actor, comedian, entrepreneur and producer took him out of southeast San Diego and into the world of show business. But a move to Los Angeles doesn't make Cannon, who now lives in New York, happy. It actually makes him furious.

"I'm a little hurt right now because my favorite NFL team used to be the San Diego Chargers," Cannon says.

Asked if he will root for the team in Los Angeles, Cannon says, "They're not the San Diego Chargers anymore, so I can't root for them, but you know what, I'm also from North Carolina, so I'mma rock with the Panthers all day."

Cannon spent part of his childhood in North Carolina and attended Quail Hollow Middle School in Charlotte.

Cannon talked to ThePostGame at the "Nickelodeon Superstar Slime Showdown at Super Bowl" in Houston last Thursday, alongside LaDainian Tomlinson, Drew Brees, Wes Welker, Victor Cruz, DeMarcus Ware, Andre Johnson and the cast of Nickelodeon's School of Rock TV series.

Tomlinson, who played nine seasons in San Diego, offered a more empathetic response to the Chargers' move, saying he feels for the fans.

The Panthers are all in on Cannon. Time to get him a drum.
