Prince

Here's one Prince tribute that isn't going away anytime soon: The Minnesota Wild have decided to celebrate their goals with one of his hit songs.

Starting this season, every Wild goal will prompt the arena to blast Prince's "Let's Go Crazy" after every goal scored. It's not a temporary gesture: The song will be the official goal song for the foreseeable future.

According to the team, the song change was made after an overwhelming fan vote from offseason polling:

The team first played "Let's Go Crazy" after goals scored during the Wild's playoff run last spring, shortly after Prince's passing. That proved very popular with fans, who then voted by a two-to-one margin to make that song the permanent goal music.

Hockey goals were never more fun.
