For this year's game against Army, the Navy Midshipmen will be styling with uniforms and helmets inspired by the Blue Angels. The helmets include a chrome facemask similar to the visor that Blue Angels pilots wear.

This is the latest fashion wrinkle in the rivalry between the two service academies. Two years ago against Army, the Midshipmen had seven different helmet designs with each featuring a specific ship in the U.S. Naval Fleet. Last year, Army wore uniforms that honored World War II paratroopers of the 82nd Airborne Division.

Designed by Under Armour, the Navy uniforms will have numbers using the same font as the one on the tail of the F/A-18 Hornet aircraft. Here are some closer looks:

"The color, striping and U.S. flag placement on the left sleeve match the design of flight suits that the squadron pilots wear in the cockpit," according to the press release.

Army ended Navy's 14-game winning streak in the series with a 21-17 win last year in Baltimore.

"Although the uniform departs from our customary characteristics, this tribute to the Blue Angels reflects the enthusiastic pride and appreciation we have for the Navy's premier flying team and the motivation they convey to Navy football and the fleet at large," said Naval Academy Director of Athletics Chet Gladchuk.
