Dale Earnhardt's death at the Daytona 500 occurred 15 years today. His son, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., took a moment on Twitter to acknowledge the anniversary by remembering his father as a living, hard-working race car driver.
The tribute came as Earnhardt Jr. was taking questions from users via Twitter.

One day earlier, a fan had reminded him of the approaching anniversary. Earnhardt said he hadn't thought about its significance and seemed to deflect from discussing his father's death:
Didn't even cross my mind really. Other than its race day!! https://t.co/pkgnoBiOIa

It'll certainly be a somber day for the Earnhardt family and the entire community of NASCAR fans, but hopefully one that can focus on Dale Earnhardt's greatness in life.
