Magic Johnson is as unselfish on Twitter as he was with the basketball. Johnson's feed is flooded with compliments ranging all sorts of people and subjects.
For example:
After today there shouldn't be anymore discussion about who the NFL MVP is. @CameronNewton wrapped it up w/ a late drive to beat the Giants!

Great day of NFL games, watched the Steelers comeback to beat the Broncos & look out NFC because the Seahawks & @DangeRussWilson are on fire

Although he watched football all day, Johnson passed on the Sunday Night matchup between the Cardinals and Eagles. Instead, he tuned in to the Miss Universe Pageant.
For most of the night, he was drinking the Steve Harvey juice.
.@IAmSteveHarvey has done it again, an incredible job hosting the Miss Universe Pageant!
— Earvin Magic Johnson (@MagicJohnson) December 21, 2015
My brother @IAmSteveHarvey not only sounds good, but also looks good in his suits hosting the Miss Universe Pageant!
— Earvin Magic Johnson (@MagicJohnson) December 21, 2015
W/ the great job that @IAmSteveHarvey does hosting Family Feud, Steve Harvey TV show & morning radio show we forget he started as a comedian
— Earvin Magic Johnson (@MagicJohnson) December 21, 2015
My brother @IAmSteveHarvey, you are the best entertainer on television!
— Earvin Magic Johnson (@MagicJohnson) December 21, 2015
That's four assists dished out by Magic. He touted Harvey to his 2.87 million followers. Harvey got free advertising.
Then, in case you somehow missed it, this happened:
ICYMI: Here's the card Steve Harvey got handed & announced Miss Colombia as the winner pic.twitter.com/VlGMms6mfl
— Darren Rovell (@darrenrovell) December 21, 2015
Of course, with Harvey in damage control, that also meant Johnson had to edit his praise of Harvey.
Steve Harvey made a mistake tonight, we've all made mistakes in our careers & lives. @IAmSteveHarvey keep the faith and keep going strong!
— Earvin Magic Johnson (@MagicJohnson) December 21, 2015
Meanwhile, Harvey issued his own social media apology:
I'd like to apologize wholeheartedly to Miss Colombia & Miss Philippines for my huge mistake. I feel terrible.
— Steve Harvey (@IAmSteveHarvey) December 21, 2015
Secondly, I'd like to apologize to the viewers at that I disappointed as well. Again it was an honest mistake.
— Steve Harvey (@IAmSteveHarvey) December 21, 2015
I don't want to take away from this amazing night and pageant. As well as the wonderful contestants. They were all amazing.
— Steve Harvey (@IAmSteveHarvey) December 21, 2015
Hey Everyone, I made a terrible mistake tonight in announcing the wrong winner and runner-up for the Miss Universe...

Harvey also spelled Philippines and Colombia wrong the first time around:
This is not Steve Harvey's day. The Philippians and Columbia have not been reached for comment. #MissUniverse2015 pic.twitter.com/KvJ8iJxErS

Magic did manage to cut the tension with some basketball humor.
Laker Nation: After losing to the Thunder by 40pts yesterday, for the first time I'm at a loss for words. lol
— Earvin Magic Johnson (@MagicJohnson) December 21, 2015
In other words, "Hopefully, we draft Ben Simmons."
Oh, and by the way, a certain presidential candidate recently sold Miss Universe as he focuses on his campaign. He does not believe this would have happened under his watch:
Very sad what happened last night at the Miss Universe Pageant. I sold it 6 months ago for a record price. This would never have happened!
