Moms, right? Vancouver defender Matt Bartkowski scored a rare NHL goal the other night, and his mom, Beth Bartkowski, just happened to be watching in the stands.
A reporter went and found her, and what else could she do? She gushed. In a long, passion spiel, Beth praises her son, their relationship, the city of Vancouver, and humanity itself -- although the last one is only implied.
She's become a bit of a viral hit since her short interview hit the Internet:
Even once you’ve made it to the NHL, scoring a goal always makes Mama proud.https://t.co/rUknLvROCZ

Of course, why not celebrate? Her son has played in 183 NHL games, and this is only his third goal. As a defender, he won't get those opportunities all that often.
Cheers to Matt. You were raised right.
