Seahawks Dentistry

People love finding new ways to pull teeth from the mouths of young children. It's a very macabre pastime, but it's not going anywhere.

And the old tie-a-string-to-the-door method? Been there, done that. These Seattle Seahawks fans, on the other hand, are innovators -- especially when their team is getting blown out.

In a video posted to Facebook, a 5-year-old and his parents used a boring game to serve as the launching pad for fun little idea: Throwing a football to try and rip free a baby tooth.

"To to add some excitement to a tough first half, Seahawks vs. Panthers, we decided to do a tooth extraction- 12th Man Dentistry, Russell Wilson style," the father, Jim Devereaux, writes in the Facebook post.

Here's the brutal act:

After some initial concern, the young boy wound up pretty happy with the trick, and with the new hole in his mouth. It also sounds like the tooth fairy paid him two dollars for his hard-won tooth.

Not a bad consolation prize for watching the Seahawks lose. Just one request: Please, kid, stop sticking your fingers in your open flesh wound.
