It seemed to good to be true. The Indians are in the World Series and Charlie Sheen is ready to throw out the first pitch of Game 1 as Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn, his character from the 1989 film Major League.
He's warming up:
Major League
continues to be the gift
that keeps on giving!

I'd be honored. pic.twitter.com/ijjAU0Qvbw— Charlie Sheen (@charliesheen) October 20, 2016
Think about how amazing it would be to see Sheen, who's faced his own public image problems, trot in from the bullpen to the X cover of "Wild Thing."
Unfortunately for all people who love fun, it is not going to happen. According to the AP, an MLB spokesperson says the league has worked with the Indians to identify "former franchise greats" to throw out the first pitch for the two, and if necessary three or four games, in Cleveland.
With that said, thanks to public ticket sales, there is nothing stopping Sheen from buying a ticket and coming to a World Series game in full Vaughn uniform. So Charlie Sheen, please do that.
