Kobe Bryant went scoreless in his first NBA regular-season game. After not playing in the season opener, Bryant logged seven minutes off the bench two nights later on Nov. 3, 1996, in the Lakers' win against Minnesota. He missed his only shot attempt.
The Lakers' starting lineup featured Shaquille O'Neal, Eldon Campbell, Cedric Ceballos, Eddie Jones and Nick Van Exel. Reserves who got more playing time that night included Byron Scott, Derek Fisher, Corey Blount and Sean Rooks.
