Shaquille O'Neal dropped some heavy truth, including how well he got paid at LSU, while headlining the annual Lakers All-Access event Monday at Staples Center.
Asked about having a good college experience at LSU, Shaq said, "Yes, they paid very well. Statute of limitations is up. I can talk about it. That's right, baby, LSU."
Perhaps Shaq just wanted to keep pace with his fellow NBA on TNT analyst Charles Barkley, who revealed in 2014 that he received cash from agents at Auburn.
Shaq also needled Barkley directly during the Q&A session, hosted by Lakers broadcaster Bill Macdonald, while tossing out some other amusing nuggets:
- On Barkley being "fat as hell." Shaq says he saw Barkley without a shirt recently and told him, "Man, you have some nice boobies."
- On nudging his son, Shareef, a top high school player, to attend LSU: "You can probably get a house. You can probably get two cars. I'll set it up for you. I know some people down there. ... Just playin'. These are just jokes, people."
- On DeAndre Jordan's portrayal of a woman in a commercial: "I don't do that."
