Metta World Peace is back in the NBA with the Lakers, which seems like some sort of miracle, considering his career arc. The Knicks waived him midway through the 2013-14 season. He spent the 2014-15 season with teams in China and Italy while also expressing interest in filling the coaching vacancy at St. John's, his alma mater. Now, at nearly 36, he is on the Lakers' opening-night roster.
