What's your prediction for this year's winner of March Madness? Your answer may depend on where you live. A survey of more than 5,000 basketball fans by SportsBettingExperts.com produced a state-by-state breakdown of where fans are putting their money.
As it turns out, the results were highly regional: If you've got a local contender, that's who you're picking to win.
In states without obvious contenders, though -- or even an entrant into the NCAA Tournament -- the results are a bit more interesting. Kansas is the clear national favorite to win, claiming 17 states, although Michigan State, Villanova and Virginia all won multiple states outside of their own.
