Intermission entertainment is going strong throughout NHL arenas. Teams bring in circus acts, recording artists and youth hockey teams to entertain fans during breaks in the game.

The Tampa Bay Lighting and the folks at Amalie Arena have raised the bar. During intermission of the Lightning-Penguins game Wednesday night, the arena projected a Mario Kart race onto the ice.

This 20-second clip is from Seth Rorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, who seems shocked at what is happening before him. As for the actual game, the Penguins won 4-2, going up 2-1 in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Bowser led all racers on the track at the end of Rorabaugh's video.
